Swimming Standard is one of major competitions in Olympic Games, it influences the pattern of competitive sports directly. The study objects of the thesis are the swimming performance of different provinces from the 5th to 11th national games. By using the method of literature, experts interview, statistics, logic analysis, the thesis sums up the dynamic development and regional distribution in Chinese swimming standard. The author hopes it can make a reasonable complement the swimming theoretical research, provide a scientific basis to decision-making departments which develop the swimming strategic layout and a useful reference to the development of Chinese swimming standard.By analyzing achievements of the 5th to the 11th national games, a conclusion could be reached that the eastern costal cities are superior in swimming performance: throughout the nation, the number covers 80% in the natural developing process, 100% in the comprehensive developing process. What's more, the swimming performance is closely related to the regional GDP, P is below 0.05, the relationship is significant; as to the reserve talents, P is below 0.01, very significant. The following conclusions can be reached by the research:1. The overall development of Chinese swimming standard is in low level: the overall strength and level of swimming standard is still in the relatively backward position in the world .The women's events is better than men's and individual women's events have certain advantages. The overall size of registered athletes and coaches is too small. The overall performance is unstable, the number of high level athletes is insufficient, municipal development is uneven.2. The following five provinces and cities have superiority in the entire development process: Shanghai, Guangdong Province, Liaoning Province, Zhejiang Province, and Shandong Province. To be specific, Shanghai is in an absolutely dominant position, the performance of Zhejiang Province is more stable, the overall results of Guangdong Province and Liaoning Province tend to decline while Shandong Province is steadily increasing.3. The superior provinces and cities are closely related to regions. The provinces and cities of the natural progression Shanghai, Guangdong, Liaoning, Tianjin, Hebei belong to the east coast, Heilongjiang belongs to inland areas, the provinces and cities of overall and comprehensive advantages Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Shandong are all the eastern coastal areas, no such provinces and cities in land areas. East coastal areas have advantages especially in the stage of comprehensive development.4. The development of competitive swimming is related to the level of economic development. Firstly, it is closely related to provincial and municipal levels of economic development in which the entire development process and the stage of comprehensive development advantages cities Shanghai, Guangdong, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Shandong's GDP, total GDP in China are the top ten. Local economic development is in high level. Enterprises and government have more financial resources to support the development of competitive swimming.5. The level of competitive swimming is also closely related to the reserve of talent. There are more talents in the superior provinces than that in the inferior provinces. The number of talents in superior provinces occupies 64.12% of the country and personnel exchanges tend to crowd into coastal areas.6. The items of competitive swimming mainly distribute in the superior provinces and cities. The eastern coastal areas of Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Shandong possess 29 advantageous small items of competitive swimming.
