With the development of society and sexual maturity coming earlier, sex education becomes a global topic. Sex education is a youth rights. Not only for normal but also special groups need sex education. Research indicates that the physical development of mental retardation students is basically unanimous with normal students. But because of low intelligence, the problem even more difficult and more prominent than studying and this requires to carry out timely proper sex education to mental retardation students.This research is to development and implement curriculum of mental retardation students'sex education based on the Circle Model. Through case study, the purpose is to make students can correctly understand himself ,recognize the family and the public; know what to do and what can't do, how to do and how to protect the privacy form invasion; form good habits and adapt society better.The main contents summarized as follows:Part 1:To state the research background and purpose, and define concepts such as Mental Retardation, Sex Education, Circle Theory and Curriculum Development.Part 2:To illustrate literature review. This part includes the concepts of mental retardation and sex education and related studies, research on sex education curriculum and social circle.Part 3: To illustrate research design. This approach includes research ideas, content, object, method and meaning. This approach includes research ideas, content, object, method and meaning. This research mainly adopt methods of literature, interviews, observation and experimental method with a single been tried.Part 4: Course development. This is a key link of the research. To design the flowchart of Student-based Individualized Curriculum Development Model. And design the course content, including "Know myself" ," Gender identity ", " Intimacy family" and " Menstruation ", "public civilization," "self-preservation", " Game about Circle Model " seven of the internal structure.Part 5: The experimental study of the implementation. The process of the courses implementation is the process of the experimental method with a single been tried, including the preparation stage, the base period, the intervening period and the maintenance period.Part 6: The conclusions and recommendations. Through curriculum design and implementation of the study ,draw conclusions and give some suggest to the future course developers or implementers, for example, effectively use the circle model;individualized model for teaching, lifelong education, knowledge and actions for unity,teachers`equipment etc.
