Public scientific literacy is getting more and more attention in modern society nowadays. Factors such as politic,economy,culture and education in particular have great impact on public scientific literacy. In this paper, considering school scientific education curriculums as the starting point, education's impact on public scientific literacy is studied in the perspective of document research and text research.This thesis is composed of three studies:In the first study, research on the public scientific literacy measurement methods in USA,UK and UE have done by checking the effectiveness of domestic public scientific literacy measurement methods in our country.In the second study, research on basic situation and developing tend of China's public scientific literacy have done by measuring content of public scientific literacy in previous years and predicting developing trend of China's public scientific literacy.In the third study, research on the relationship between scientific curriculums and public scientific literacy is done by analyzing the idea of scientific literacy and also by the discrepancies of scheme textbooks and standard textbook in realizing this idea.Considering the above researches, we can get the following conclusions:Measurement content of research on public scientific literacy in China is almost the same as those in other parts of the world. China's public scientific literacy is developing steadily although is still lagging behind developed countries.Basic scientific terms (except computer software and Internet) and views of public scientific literacy measurement are all realized in the content of school scientific education curriculums which the scientific class involves 6 basic scientific terms and 29 basic scientific views.Scientific research and comparison experiment, as the basic methods of public scientific literacy measurement content, are widely applied in school scientific education curriculums while probability is used in middle school scientific and biological curriculums.The idea of relationship between science and society in public scientific literacy measurement content does not match the knowledge in textbooks of school scientific education curriculums.Standard textbooks can reflect the public scientific literacy measurement content better.Basic terms,views and methods of public scientific literacy measurement content are almost included in school scientific education curriculums, however, China's public scientific literacy level is imbalanced and also underdeveloped. Therefore, school scientific education curriculum is only one of the factors which are affecting public scientific literacy, other factors which referring to culture,politics and economy should also be considered.
