| The performances of group calisthenics play a pivotal role in the kinds of Celebrations and modern Games'opening ceremonies. From the performances of group calisthenics in the first National Games in 1959 to the artistic-cultural performance of opening ceremony in the 5th Special Olympics games in 2010, it experienced a development process which was from simple to complex one and from frugal to luxury one. With the development of Group Calisthenics, its study also go towards deeper step by step, but people also gradually realize that the theoretical study of holding-apparatuses in large-scale group calisthenics still lags behind its practice. It is necessary to study its theory. Reasons are as follows:Firstly, studying holding-apparatuses in large-scale Group Calisthenics is needed by carrying out the'national fitness program' and improving the current situation which theory lags behind practice. Secondly, it is also demanded by the reform and development of Gymnastics teaching. Thirdly, it is required by establishing a database of holding-apparatuses, and realizing its networking development.This paper aims to research the regularity of holding-apparatuses in China's modern large-scale Group Calisthenics, establish a database of holding-apparatuses in modern large-scale Group Calisthenics of China, and serve the popularity and development of Group Calisthenics. Taking all previous representative large-scale Group Calisthenics as samples, by way of induction, statistics and inference, etc. By the different standpoints which are materials of apparatus and performers'quantity, age and gender and so on,299 kinds of holding-apparatuses in modern large-scale Group Calisthenics of China were classified.Draw some conclusions as follows by study and analysis:1) The number of variety of holding-apparatus in every large-scale Group Calisthenics change constantly with the development of large-scale Group Calisthenics. The process of its development can be divided into there stages:a preliminary incremental stage, a stable developmental stage and a widely-used stage.2) There are 67 sessions in the 14 times large-scale Group Calisthenics. Holding-apparatuses were used in 65 sessions which account for 97%. This fully shows that performance of apparatus-held play an important role in the performance of great Group Calisthenics.3) Performance of every sub-theme spends 13.25 minutes on average. The interval of average time:7.80 minutes-26.18 minutes. This can be used as basis of Group Calisthenics creation.4) It is unfavorable for the types of holding-apparatuses in sub-theme of small-scale Group Calisthenics to exceed 18.1-4 types are relatively appropriate.5) When many people make use of one holding-apparatus together, they tend to choose a holding-apparatus of soft materials. Moreover, when one makes use of one holding-apparatus, he/she is less limited in materials of holding-apparatus as it is relatively flexible and its weight is smaller.6) Innovation creations of holding-apparatuses in Chinese modern large-scale Group Calisthenics were mainly rooted in life equipments, national traditional instruments, instruments in myths and legends, etc.Based on the practical principle, establish an Access database which is comprehensive and illustrated. This paper provides references for carrying out the'national fitness program', creation of Group Calisthenics and choice of apparatuses in Gymnastics teaching. In addition, it is also provides lots of original materials for innovation of holding-apparatuses, and lay the foundation for perfection and development of a props database. At the same time, the layout of group calisthenics may realize computerization and networking. This is the first solid step. At last, puts forward some relevant Suggestions which are about database construction of group calisthenics factors and networking construction of group calisthenics.
