On Cultivation Of National Spirit Of Contemporary Chinese College Students In The Context Of Globalization

National spirit is the spiritual pillar for the development of a nation. During thelong development history, Chinese national spirit, a kind of precious spiritual wealthand cultural heritage which have been accumulating through the 5000 years of civiliza-tion, concentrating on patriotism, comprising unity, independence, peace-loving andself-reliance. Globalization is an inevitable trend of the world, and the acceleration ofthe globalization process has a huge impact on political, economic, cultural and otherfields in various countries, especially in developing countries. College students are fu-ture hope of our nation. The way people live, the infiltration of di?erent cultures, theState governance reform, all of which induced by globalization have been in?uencingthe university students'ideas, so the cultivation of the contemporary college students'national spirit faces both unprecedented opportunities and severe test. How to guidecontemporary college students to understand and learn from the outstanding civiliza-tions of the countries, how to critique, resist the decadent and backward ideologicaland cultural values of Western countries, and how to nurture contemporary collegestudents'national spirits are not only related to the growth of talent, but also relatedto fate and future of our nation. Under the context of globalization, to cultivate thenational spirit of university students is the needs of promoting quality education, pro-moting the healthy growth of talent needs of students, enhancing the cohesion of theChinese nation needs, improving overall national strength, and achieving for the greatrejuvenation of the Chinese nation. It is not only the eternal theme of ideological andpolitical education, but also the responsibility of ideological and political educationworkers, especially higher education workers.This paper, made up by five parts, try to make a study of the cultivation of na-tional spirits in contemporary college students under the context of globalization. Thefirst part, Introduction, focuses primarily on the raise of the issues and significanceof the topics, the status quo of home and abroad, the research routes and methods,as well as paper's innovation and deficiency. The second part discusses the signifi-cance of national spirits'cultivation in college under the context of globalization. Partthree deals with the challenges and opportunities for national spirits'cultivation in thecontemporary college students during the process of globalization. The fourth partfocuses on the analysis of the factors brought by globalization impact on the nationalspirits cultivation in the college students. Part five explores the countermeasures forthe college students'national spirits cultivation.
