With the deep development of recent curriculum teaching materials continuously reform, we should adopt the measures to a classroom 40 minutes for efficiency in the background of education for taking an exam to education for quality. It is necessity to improve multimedia assisted chemistry knowledge teaching research. Great changes have been taken place in education field with the appearance of network. Multimedia and network technologies have changed educational thoughts, ideas, modes, methods and so on thoroughly. Multimedia technology greatly expands the limitation of time and space for chemistry teaching in high school. And the integration of information technology with chemistry curriculum changes the relationship of teaching and learning. It improves students' interests, efficiency and initiative to learn chemistry.This thesis is divided into 6 parts totally.Part One details the thesis of research background, current situation, objective and significance thoroughly.Part Two states the important significance of multimedia application simply. Multimedia will change teaching mode, teaching content, teaching way and teaching means. It will lead to the fundamental reform of total educational thoughts, teaching theories, and even educational system ultimately. It discusses the theoretical basis of multimedia assisted chemistry classroom teaching.Part Three gives a brief introduction to the definition of multimedia and basic modes of multimedia technology and multimedia teaching.Part Four introduces the application of multimedia in the high school chemistry teaching will benefit to the teachers to form new teaching thoughts, ideas, means and modes and it will renew our educational ideas. Applying modern educational thoughts and embodying heuristic method teaching characteristic will arouse students' initiative with the largestextent. It makes students love to learn, able to learn and happy to learn. It will benefit to develop students' exploration spirit and bringing forth new ideas ability. It can divide complex teaching information and it will make cognitive process from difficult to easy. The big capacity of multimedia chemistry teaching can suit the mass and complexity of chemistry teaching information and compress the teaching space. It will provide new thoughts of teaching reformation and it will present interactive chemistry knowledge.In Part Five, the focus is the problem of teaching at first on the problem of multimedia assisted teaching. It must integrate curriculum for carrying on multimedia assisted teaching better. Or multimedia assisted teaching will become "for multimedia to multimedia" . It provides a view of the manipulation, principle and teaching mode of information integrating with curriculum. It proves that the teaching efficient of integration is significantly through cases. It will enhance students' abilities of analyzing and solving problems and leaning largely. It will expand students' knowledge scopes and improve students' imaginable and visual analysis abilities.Part Six summarizes some problems and drawbacks of multimedia assisted teaching. But these shortcomings and drawbacks are made not by "multimedia" but "teachers". If we teachers renew our teaching ides and change our modes, multimedia will have a bigger effect on teaching than before. It will dissolve in the teaching really.
