The urbanization is the necessity of history, and is also an important symbol of the modern society. However, in the process of urbanization, the standard of allocation for Land-lost Peasants are very low, the ways for compensation are very simple, and the Land-lost Peasants lack the support of the stable social security. These cause a large number of peasants of lost land to turn into the urban poor people. Its result will inevitably influence the social stabilization, and become the hidden danger in structuring the harmonious society. In recent years, Suzhou is expediting its process of urbanization, and it brings about the large quantities of Land-lost Peasants. The greatest difficult problem what they can't avoid is how they support themselves and their family. Thus, the social security policy for peasants of lost land plays a very important role. But there are different social security policies for peasants of lost land in the different regions of China. We are not sure whether the social security policy for Land-lost Peasants policy in Suzhou has been satisfied with those peasants. So the author analyzes the social security policy from the different aspects through the investigation to the relevant functional departments and some peasants of lost land. Meanwhile, the author hopes that more and more scholars pay attention to the lives of Land-lost Peasants.
