New PE and health curriculum standards in our country have been put on trial for six years, as one of the first pilot, Hunan province also added to the new curriculum reform. Well, what's the implementation situation of physical education and health courses in rural junior secondary schools in Hunan province? Currently, there is no scholars have conducted a comprehensive study.We use documentation, expert interviews, questionnaires survey, mathematical statistics and other research methods to comparatively analyse fifty-eight schools' teachers and students of sixteen counties of eight areas in Hun Nan province.The investigation analysis focus on the implementation status quo of PE curriculum in Hun Nan rural junior secondary schools, the primary content about the status of gym teachers, the conmplexion of Sport and Health curriculum and extracurricular activity and gymnastic field and equipment, and so on. We try to find the affect factor of PE and Health Curriculum Implementation, as well as corresponding, present some reciprocal advice. We also hope it can provide correlative branches formulate strategies and policies a frame of reference.The results of the study indicate that: With the new curriculum reform for the new curriculum standards,the PE and health teaching changed more in rural junior secondary schools in Hunan province, school masters and gym teachers' curricular awareness increased, the rate of PE and health curricular is 98%, clear upward trend;the gym teacher not only well understand the new curriculum standards,but also raise their own quality,in order to receive the new curriculum reform;The students are very interested in learning, and active participation in sports activities, establish lifelong sports thinking. At present, the major factors that affected the implementation of PE and health curriculum in rural junior secondary schools in Hunan province are the following six aspects: the characteristics and shortcomings of new curriculum standards, the leadership' less enough concern support in the school physical education and health courses,PE teachers lack the quality,the new curriculum is not comprehensive training, the scarce of playground and equipment, Campus Sports owed strong cultural atmosphere.At last,contrapose the factors which inpact PE and health curriculum implementation and put forward some specific recommendations:such as setting new concepts of education, strengthening supervision and guidance; establishing a mechanism for training. We look forward to providing referrence to implement PE and health curriculum standard comprehensively in rural junior secondary schools in Hunan province.
