Research On Female Problems In Higher Education

Female problems in higher education can be explained with different theories. Based on feminism knowledge of gender , the aim of this thesis is to investigate the female existence condition in higher education and seek the path of female development in higher education.It is composed of four parts:First, the thesis introduced the meaning for this topic, development of the same field in China and overseas country as well as its research method.Second, it introduced the feminism gender views, such as Liberal Feminism,Radical Feminism, Maternal Feminism, Socialism Feminism and Post-modern feminism . In addition to this, it tries to trace back the original theory sources in gender research and disclose the real meaning of"social gender".Third, the thesis discussed the higher education based on the feminism angle. It summaries the female existence condition in higher education from the following aspects, discipline and major, the number of enrollment, the level of receiving higher education, and condition of female in higher education institution. Besides, it discussed the higher education from the feminism angle in order to explain the reasons for this according to patriarchy and feminism epistemology. In this way can it explore that higher education plays an important role in copying social gender and sustaining social gender.Fourth, it gives the strategies for the better development of female. Female should become the master of discipline construction and university should become the stage for female liberation .
