Research Of Intelligent Tutoring System Based On Multi-Agent

After analyzing the representative Web Teaching System both at home and abroad as well as finding out their deficiencies and questions, this paper inquires into a new idea. The new idea uses the technology of Multi-Agent to construct Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) on the basis of the analysis of the theories of ITS and Agent. This paper also designed and constructed an ITS based on Multi-Agent. The ITS has the characteristics of adaptability, intelligence and practicability.This system uses related Agents and programs to realize: analyzing the knowledge level, interest and capability of students for catching the characteristic information of the students, saving and monitoring the status of the students to adjust teaching tactics immediately and carry out the individual learning, exchanging and sharing information. The system can make the students exchange their on-line information and cooperate with each other. So they can obtain knowledge, improve creativities, exert their strong suit and at the same time raise the ability of cooperating with others. In this way the students can learn knowledge according to their needs and teachers can teach in accordance of the students'aptitude.The system using Agent technology can let the students make use of the abundant resources of Internet, individual learning model and many ways of communication to carry out the independent individual learning and the mutual collaborative learning. It is also the trend of Long Distance Education in the future.
