In the epoke of information, media has greatly changed our lifestyle and made great progress to the whole society, while as the media has some negative influence to more and more youngsters, as a result, some children even get addicted to network star. For the time being, this hot topic is drawing more attention from the schools, families and the society. Therefore, it is an urgent task to help them get a correct understanding of the media resources and use them correctly so as to increase their media literacy. Media literacy has become required courses for primary and secondary schools in many countries. Media literacy is a new concept, and we have a long way to go in the research of media it.In this paper, the methods of literature analysis, surveys, interviews and case studies, and other methods are used to investigate the present situation of media literacy of middle students of the cities, towns and rural in Shanxi Province and the author analysis the performance and attribution to the lack of media literacy of the present middle school students. Based on the results of the related research at home and abroad and the actual situation in China, the author proposes media literacy training strategy of middle school students from schools, families, social level and also through pilot experimental validation to a certain extent to examine the effectiveness of the strategy.The full text is divided into six chapters: Chapter one: Introduction, a comprehensive exposition of this thesis research background, the purpose of the study and its significance, content and methods. The chapter two offers summaries about relative problems and makes an overview of and analyzes the current practice of media literacy at home and abroad. Chapter three mainly makes an investigation of the present situation of media literacy of middle school students, then analyzes and comments on the problems existed and the attribution. Chapter four media literacy training strategy of middle school students on the basis of survey of the data collected and the actual situation. Chapter five selects pilot secondary schools in Shanxi Province to practice the training strategy and makes the survey of teaching feedback in order to verify the effectiveness of strategies. Chapter six summarizes the whole thesis and come up with the next step researcher work.
