The large-scaled sports volunteers are those who contribute their time, energy, skill to accomplish all the commissions assigned by the organization committee without expecting any material rewards during the preparation and helding of the large-scaled sports events. As the large-scaled sports events are increasing in China, the volunteers and the research of the management of the sports events attracting more and more attention. The volunteers accomplish their jobs by providing their energy, skill and time without any rewards, through which they provide rich human resources and bring down the costs.Comparing to the western countries, the voluntary services start later in our country, and there is not much enough theories, especially, in voluntary services in large-scaled sports events. For example, the regulated volunteer recruiting systems is unreasonable, the volunteer training system has not totally completed and so on. Basing on the large-scaled sports events which held in our country such as the 11th IAAF World Junior Championships, the 6th Chinese Minority Games, the 13th Asia Cup, the 12th Shanghai Para-Olympics, the China Tennis Open Game, Shanghai F1, this paper explores the status and charactactics of the voluntary services in large-scaled sports events in our country, getting conclusions and giving suggestions, in order to promote the development of the volunteering work in the large-scaled sports events of our country.Through analysis, the situation and characteristics of the large-scaled sports events in China are as following:The comprehensive sports events:1. The volunteers haven't fully understood the volunteering spirit.2. The regulated volunteer recruiting systems haven't been found.3. There is no integrated recruiting method.4. The volunteer training courses can represent the characteristics of the events.5. The volunteer training agencies are professional.The individual sports events:1. The training time and places are unreasonable.2. There are various training forms.3. The encouraging methods are scientific and reasonable.The conclusions of the paper:1. The sports events organization committee has its volunteers management department, but the regulated volunteer recruiting system hasn't been found.2. The training work is restricted by the temporarity, governmentation and monopolization of the training management agencies.3. The flexible encouraging method has increased the enthusiasm of the volunteers.According to the conclusions, the suggestion for the volunteers development of the large-scaled sports events in China are as following:1. To reduce the intervening of the government and realize pluralism of the management modes. The volunteer work can not only be accomplished by the training agency. The governmental volunteer service agencies should help the training agency. And the professional training agencies should be responsible for the detailed work.2. To implement the systemized and long-term training management project. To change the loose management mode. China should establish a systemized and long-term management project focusing on the university students, who are the main body of the volunteers.3. To be guided by the volunteering spirit and enhance the service consciousness. The volunteering service is a social behaviour taken part by the citizens, which represents the social and contributional consciousness. The spirit training can not only make the volunteers be satisfied with their work, but alsoenrichen their personal experiences.4. To establish volunteer organizations in the universities. Recently, the social volunteers are just a small member. The main body is the volunteer organization is a bridge linking the college students and the volunteering service work. It can service as a guidance to the college students as well as select the qualified volunteers to the sports events.5. To consummate the volunteers encouraging mechanism. Since the volunteering work are totally free, independent and volunteering, its outstanding characteristic is unsteady. As a result, the management organization should attach importance to the encouraging mechanism in the volunteer management to arouse the enthusiasm of the volunteers.
