A Preliminary Research On Home Economics Education In The Republic Of China Time

Home Economics Education is also known as family education ,which means "the way to finish homework and educate children" or "the law to improve family life and promote family well-being " or " the necessary technology to manage family affairs " .Though there are many different viewpoits about it ,we can know that Home Economics Education refers to all matters related to the family. The family is the startpoint of social organization and the basis of all human relations. Many things stem from family,such as social system, economy,education,culture, morals,custom and so on.China is a country that believe "the family is the foundation of the state". Therefore, Home Economics Education has a long history in China. Managing family affairs is the duty of women because of the traditional thought "man outside and woman inside". In the ancient times, the female was removed out of the school education, so Home Economics Education was mainly carries on through the way which handed down from the mother to daughter in the family. But in the modem times, the Women's school education has received value gradually under the stimulation of kinds of factors from inside and outsid. Home Economics Education also moved to the school from the family. Specially in the Republic of China time, the development of Home Economics Education had a unprecedented transformation. Home Economics Education held a very important status in the Women's Education from primary education to secondary education even to higher education. The teaching goal also changed to family education from techniques ,such as cooking, tailoring, handicraft and so on. It paid more attention to cultivate good habits and maintain good family life.I want to have a preliminary research on Home Economics Education in the Republic of China time in this article.
