Education in the 21st century focuses on students, cultivating creative spirit and ability to adapt the society and developing students'potential and practical ability. It emphasizes the ability of cultivating students how to study, how to behave, how to work and even how to survive; attaches importance to the inspiration of students and teaching according with the students'aptitudes, and brings up students'habits of lifelong learning to form the teaching process integrated with the cultivation of knowledge, ability and quality. New educational concept and notion proposes a new demand for P.E. curriculum of regular institution of higher education, that is, how to break the traditional skill teaching situation and introduce new P.E. teaching methodology for serving the P.E. in higher education teaching, which has become a crucial project of P.E. teachers of university at present, even in a long period of time. This dissertation makes a preliminary sketch of cooperation and inquiry learning and based on the theoretical principle of cognitive structure theory, humanism psychology theory, structuralism theory and theory of selection to construct the methodology of"cooperation and inquiry learning", make experiment of under pass teaching in volleyball courses of institution of higher education and demonstrate its function in skill teaching, providing instructions and suggestions for volleyball courses of institution of higher learning to adopt the majorized methodology and for carrying out quality-oriented education of higher learning institution.This dissertation adopts many methodologies, such as bibliography, teaching experiments, mathematical statistics, logic analysis, questionnaire survey and expert interviews for researching"cooperation and inquiry learning"Methodology. based on the teaching concept of quality-oriented education and guided by the ideology of"human-orientation","health-first","lifelong-P.E.", the guidelines, teaching aims, working procedure, teaching assessment, teaching procedure and constructive system of"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology are established, combining the characteristics of volleyball courses in higher learning institutions. By the teaching experiments of volleyball courses in Liaoning Engineer and Technology University, the"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology is analyzed in the respect of its influence on learning under pass skills, learning motivation system and cooperation awareness of students.The experimental research of"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology shows: it meets the requirements of modern teaching since it is based on the ideology of quality cultivation. It has very good results in volleyball Under Pass Teaching courses, improving students'grades greatly. The"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology develops students'cognitive ability so that they can rapidly establish their sense of movement while debating, analyzing, comparing and seeking for the answers, and thus reduces the time for grasping the technique and improves their P.E. performances greatly. The"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology thoroughly utilizes students'function as a subject to make students'study become a self-conscious and voluntary behavior and to generate the motivation of active inquiry, which promote the development of learning. The"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology creates a relaxed atmosphere for learning, realizes the positive interaction between students and teachers, arouses students'enthusiasm, which make students know the fun in learning Physical Education. The"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology stimulates students'motivation of P.E. learning, increases their interest on it, changes their attitude toward it and thus activates their dynamic adjustment system on it so that they can generate strong desire of learning and make as much effort as they can on study while experiencing the happiness. The"cooperation and inquiry learning"methodology strengthens students'cooperative awareness by inquiry activities, such as exchange of learning, evaluation, care about each other, teaching and learning with each other and so on, which create a tension in the process of learning...
