"Teaching students how to study"has become an educational target and mission of the times. The school should provide students something more important than mere knowledge --- method, only with which can a person master the rules and dominate the fate, thus better suited for the demand of the times as well as distinguished in the fierce competition. The chief idea of the new curriculum standards aims at better promoting student development, which is embodied through math study. Therefore, it is vital to emphasize the process of student math learning, in other words, the urgency to probe into the change for the student math learning method and to propose the reflective math study.Reflective math study concerns learners'self-leaning activities and a reverse thinking of math learning featured relative things (materials, information, thoughts, results, etc) during the process.This article is to illustrate the relative theoretical grounds of the reflective study in five aspects regarding meta-cognitive theory, constructive learning theory, humanistic learning theory, the theory of multiple intelligences and self-monitor theory. It also analyzes the independent, inquiring, critical, creative, perspective and cooperative characteristics and the function of high school reflective math study.In order to guide students on reflective math study in the practical math teaching and learning for the effective knowledge acquisition and the improvement of their creative and practical abilities, this article especially highlights the teaching and learning strategies for reflective math study after class by means of math diaries, chapter reflection assessment and assignment reflection assessment to stimulate their reflective study after class. Finally, the effectiveness of the concerned practical strategies for the improvement of student study achievements is concluded with the provided statistics.
