The Analysis Of Individual Factors Influencing The College Graduates' Job-hunting

Based on the severe employment situation that the youth face,this report mainly researches the impact on fresh graduates' job-hunting of individual character factors like vocational values and accomplishment,as well as individual natural factors and individual background factors.The research on job-hunting includes two main questions:Is job available? And what kind of job is available? And it takes as explanatory variables the answers to the above questions and individual factors like gender,educational background and degree,major,political status,scholarship and maintenance grant,parents income, vocational values and accomplishment.By applying statistical methods like logistic regression analysis and Chi-square test to find and differentiate significant influencing factors from insignificant ones,the research aims at providing reference and direction to fresh graduates for job hunting.A survey has been taken to collect empirical data from fresh graduates in Suzhou and neighbor areas by using proved scale questionnaires and self-edited investigation questionnaires.We conclude by statistical analysis of SPSS14.0 and Excel2000 software package that:1.The factors that influence the fresh graduates' job hunting include major, educational background,environmental factors of vocational values and behavior & habit factors of vocational accomplishment;2.The factors that influence employed graduates to choose the types of job include major,political status,environmental and creative factors of occupational values;3.The factors that influence employees to choose the types of jobs include educational degree,major,scholarship and maintenance grant records,political status,job-hunting channels,development factor of occupational values.On the basis of the above statistical analysis,the research provides certain suggestion and theoretical instruction to fresh graduates for job hunting.
