This research studies the work stress and the work burnout of 106 competitive sports' coaches, working for the sport teams of Hubei province. The questionnaire of the work stress is conducted by Cooper, Sloan&Williams (1988) and The questionnaire of the work burnout is edited by Maslach and modified by LI Chao-ping& SHI Kan. The two questionnaires adopted the score of Likert 5-points. Statistical tool of SPSS is adopted to analyse the investigation results by One-Way ANOVA, correlation and regression. The purpose of the present research is to explore the actuality of the work stress and the work burnout, and the relationship between the work stress and the work burnout for the coaches.The results are indicating: the work stress of the coaches is serious, and there are some remarkable differences in the statistic variable of population partly; the feeling of work burnout of the coaches is not serious in all, and The emotional exhaustion feeling of the coaches is more serious comparative the feeling of work burnout of the coaches, and there are some remarkable differences in the statistic variable of population partly; the origins of work stress of the Coaches remarkable indicate the work stress of the coaches.
