School choice is a hot topic in the field of present fundamental education.There are quite a few studies on school choice both at home and abroad.As to the relation between school choice and social class,there are more empirical studies but less theoretical ones,and most of the studies just focus on the compulsory education stage. Considering the above,this study chooses social-class analysis as its perspective and school choice in the ordinary high school as its object.It adopts both theoretical analysis method and practical investigation method to specifically carry out the research.Its aim is on one hand to remedy the deficiencies of the existing relevant theoretical research, and on the other hand to further study the specific relation between school choice and social Class,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of school choice in the present ordinary high school,and then find solutions to regulate school choice and improve the education equity.This study is made up of five parts.Chapter One is introduction.It introduces the background of this study,reviews the existing relevant researches,defines the key concepts,and explain the aim,method and value of this study.Chapter Two is a theoretical analysis on the relation between school choice and social class in the ordinary high school of our country.In this chapter,the author applies the "exclusion-inclusion" theory in the sociology to analyze this relation.First,it introduces the origin of social exclusion and inclusion thought.Second,it states the main content of the "exclusion-inclusion" theory.At last,it uses this theory to make a concrete analysis of school choice in the ordinary high school of our country and tries to establish a theory on the relation between school choice and social class.Chapter Three is an empirical analysis on the relation between school choice and social class in the ordinary high school of our country.It takes Fuzhou as an example. First,it puts forward several research hypotheses based on the theoretical analysis in Chapter Two.Then,it uses methods such as questionnaire and interview to launch the research.And then,associating the theory established in Chapter Two,it analyzes and discusses the research outcomes from two aspects--the general and specific relation between school choice and social class. Chapter Four is about solution and advice to problems with school choice in the ordinary high school of our country.On the foundation of the theoretical and empirical analysis in Chapter Two and Three,it makes several pointed suggestions in order to solve the four serious problems with school choice in present ordinary high school of our country.The final part is conclusion.It reviews and summarizes the innovations and deficiencies of this study and also questions that still need to discuss.
