Under the background of the multivariant views, interests of multi-groups, and the different believes, the college students at present are receiving the baptism of time, and reflecting great independence and modern consciousness. On the other hand, it is disputable fact that the personality education of the college students has shipped back completely. The personality problems of the students arouse the hot discussion and prompt a review of the educators. What is the purport of education? Should the higher education be responsible to the personality of college students? Whither the development of the college students personalities? How should the universities respond to all these problems? Such problems before the educators are exigent and momentous. Carrying out personality education in high schools is external need of development of our society and the task of high school education, as well as the important way to promote politics education in high schools.In this thesis, we will research on current problems of personality education in China, and analyze the reasons of them through empirical investigation all over the country and get the first-hand detailed data, to find out strategies for strengthening personality education. The thesis will be divided into 4 parts to discuss.The first part of the thesis will focus on the necessity to carry out personality education in high schools, explain concept of personality, healthy personality, and personality education, and explain the target and content of it. The keystone is on the importance and necessity of carrying out personality education in high schools:1. Healthy personality is the precondition for human to live in this society;2. To carry out personality education is the demand of society's development, aswell as the guarantee to realize socialism modernization and nation's construction;3. Carrying out personality education is also the guarantee of high schools' management, and building humorous campus.In the second part, we will discuss the situation about high school students' personality in China, and the overall situation of carrying out personality education in high schools. The keystone will be to summarize some problems of personality education in current China's high schools:1. The status of personality education is declining;2. The aim is unilateral;3. The content is not novel, but too simple;4. The instruction is not well-targeted, the measure is not flexible;5. The number of instructors is not strong enough, and the level is uneven;6. Students' consciousness is not high enough, etc..In the third part, it will analyze the facts that cause problems in China's personality education. The facts include society and family education, school and teacher, and students themselves. Society will be the key point, which includes views of the society about education and talents, affects of culture and social mode to the formation of students' personality, etc..Focus of the fourth part is to raise measures and principles of carrying out personality education in high schools, by analyzing the existed problems about China's personality education and the causes. To strengthen personality education in high schools requires efforts from all of us, that is efforts from society, family, and schools.It requires:1. Education departments' support, and making clear education aim;2. Society to play its role of introducing; consensus and culture to work their inducting functions.3. Families to attach importance to personality development, and attach themselves to education and supervision which can help shaping the youngster's personality;4. Schools to build an effective system of personality education, to make good use of class education and teachers' leading functions, to give prominence to practice education, to explore students' passion to consciously process personality education, to realize the important functions of art to personality development, to build a civilized campus, to establish sense of "educating with all efforts and from all aspects", etc..In conclusion, personality education in high school is a complicated and systemic project. It needs efforts from all aspects of our society, to help students shape healthy personality.
