Research On Application Of Data Mining In Basketball Techniques And Tactics

In recent years, with the vigorous development of the motherland's basketball, competitions between the various teams are intensifying.In the era of rapid development of computer technology, the information of basketball is gradually increasing. It needs Data Mining technology to find useful information among massive data of basketball database. In order to accelerate the development of motherland's basketball, applying Data Mining technology to analysis techniques and tactics of basketball games has become very important.The paper is based on researches on ball games by Physical Computation Group in software architecture laboratory of the North China University of Technology,using association analysis, clustering analysis and Markov process analysis of data mining technology to analysis basketball script data which are collected through basketball script language and basketball script description method. Finally get a basketball techniques and tactics analysis system, which include techniques and tactics analysis, specified action analysis, specified co-ordination analysis and key actions analysis.Techniques and tactics feature analysis adopts improved Apriori algorithm to find association rules among basketball games data. The algorithm generates association rules about basketball actions from frequent item sets. It can excavate actions which are closely linking, and the analysis result has high significance.Techniques and tactics specified analysis include specified action analysis and specified co-ordination analysis. Techniques and tactics specified action analysis finds the confidence of specified actions by association analysis method. Techniques and tactics specified co-ordination analysis finds actions cooperating with specified action.Key actions analysis finds key score transfer steps and key lose point transfer steps by method based on Markov process analysis. It can finds the key score actions and key lose point actions of a basketball game. According to the analysis, coach can adjust training. The analysis has high practical value.
