Reading teaching has always been criticized severely, and more cost with less gain is the most important reason. Which has promoted Chinese teachers never stop exploring, researching and innovation. Especially after the Reform and Open in China, the innovation of Chinese teaching has got splendid achievements from the preliminary to profound and from partial to comprehensive. There has been a heated reform campaign of teaching all over the country, different schools of thoughts show their different styles adequately. Although people have paid more attention to reading teaching nowadays, status in quo is not that satisfied, as the low efficiency of the teaching is unavoidable. Based on what mentioned above, how to optimize tactics of reading teaching has been a very practical project, the author has tried to combine other people's research outcomes and personal practice experience together, and planed to search the optimal tactics of Chinese reading teaching in middle school based on its design, targets, contents, measures and feedback. It has expected to be a practical project.The author has got a lot of data through consulting literature and doing practical survey. Owing to so many problems in reading teaching, the paper illustrates some points of how to optimize design, contents, methods and the feedback of reading teaching upon the New Curriculum Concept by the numbers. While discussing about the design of reading teaching, we should obey determinate regulars and pursue for the high efficiency and special ideal. While discussing about the targets of reading teaching, we should set about it from such angles that concern text and method in like manner, three-dimensional targets and training of creative ability. While discussing about the contents of reading teaching, firstly, we can cope with the vivid and abstract contents more dialectically; secondly, we can predigest the profound texts and deepen the easy ones; as the same way, we can shorten the long ones and expand the meaning of the short ones. While discussing about the methods of reading teaching, in the first instance we should encourage students pay the most intention to"read"and get sentiments from the process; then we should emphasize both the abilities of"read"and"write"at the same time; at last we should cultivate students'abilities of imagination and migration. While discussing about feedback of reading teaching, we should promote the information communicating in more ways, and evaluate the effect of reading teaching on time. The author concerns that we can optimize reading teaching by these tactics effectively.As most of materials of this article come from practical teaching and some literatures, it is just personal experiences and opinions of how to develop reading teaching in middle school upon the new situation, the arguments and theories might not be mature enough and there might be some errors and mistakes. So, the author begs your apologize sincerely.
