Promoting students'development is the essence which educational activity wants to achieve. Students'development level and the situation are the focus that teaching evaluation pays close attention to. However, by "exam-oriented education", the long-term effects of our country's current sports teaching evaluation mostly with summative assessment and quantitative evaluation, evaluation process of subjectivity and one-sidedness will cause the irrationality of evaluation results in the learning process, the student the result which will obtain in the learning process cannot obtain the comprehensive appraisal, will have certain negative influence to student's development. In response to these problems, " Normal Physical Education Undergraduate Teaching guide outline various types of backbone," pointed out:"We should pay attention to the incentive of the evaluation function, feedback function, the evaluation should be combined with the teaching objectives, learning attitude and combining basic level, the evaluation of the main shift from a single diversity, assessment methods to take summative assessment and evaluation process of combining qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation, subjective evaluation and objective evaluation of a combination of approaches. " Therefore, the development assessment has great value in academic circles and practice.Based on the methods of literature, expert interview, method of questionnaire, experimental method, statistics method, logic analysis and other methods, we made a teaching experiment with two teams of undergraduates 2007 from Athletics Sports Institute of Beijing Sports University for 32 study periods. In the basketball skills teaching courses of general basketball course of development assessment teaching traditional teaching comparative experiment, through the analysis of experimental results the following conclusions:1. The use of " development assessment of teaching", can improve the physical quality of students is conducive to students, particularly middle-and lower-middle students with a better grasp of normative theory of basketball skills and basketball knowledge in action. 2. The use of " development assessment of teaching", so that the dominant position of students and the initiative was to play a substantial increase in student interest in learning and enhanced teacher-student, student-student interaction, to promote independent learning and give full play to their imagination power is conducive to the innovative spirit of students.3. The use of "development assessment of teaching" is conducive to the movement of students to establish a clear appearance to enhance the understanding and knowledge of technology to promote the establishment of the concept of action. Students have enhanced the technology movement comparative and analytical capabilities, to enhance students'technical evaluation of the ability to enhance students identify problems, analyze problems and problem-solving ability.4. The use of "development assessment of teaching", which will help students develop the motivation to succeed, choose a reasonable attribution, have a positive goal orientation, long-term development of learning has a positive meaning.5. The use of "development assessment of teaching " will help to develop students'interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate in the learning process in the formation of a good emotional attitude and social adaptability in line with community demands on talent.
