As the history of higher vocational institutions is not long, there are many people lack understanding of vocational colleges, particularly lack of understanding of students of higher vocational colleges, and even some bias, because at the vocational college school students, some has low college entrance examination scores, they deny all vocational students. In recent years, as the country introduced a series of new policies, improving conditions for running vocational institutions, improving teaching standards and teaching quality, and through increased investment, in-depth teaching evaluation, established a higher number of model homes school, constructed excellent professional and curriculum to promote higher educational institutions to get a great improvement, people change the view on the students of community colleges and higher vocational students. Currently, the successful development of higher vocational colleges not only lie in school conditions and teaching quality improvement, but also in the moral education, because improving college students ideological and moral qualities is a breakthrough in quality education in higher vocational institution. Vocational college students only improve ideological and moral quality can help the vocational high school students have a healthy development on career path in the future. In this paper, through the form of questionnaires and interviews, it analyzes status and existing problems of the ideological and moral quality of vocational students, and in accordance with its problems, it explored some solutions and countermeasures.This article focuses on the 600 vocational students of three vocational colleges (Shanxi Coal Technology, Shanxi Tourism College, Shanxi College of Forestry) through questionnaire, discussions, interviews, The statistical summary of three sections elaborate on this article, an overview of the ideological and moral qualities. This section elaborates the meaning and the main content of ideological and moral qualities, thus making theoretical groundwork for the later in-depth study, the situation and cause analysis of ideological and moral qualities of the students in vocational colleges. Through the form of a questionnaire survey, this part statistics the situation of students in vocational colleges ideological and moral quality, sums up the factors that influent ideological and moral quality of students in vocational colleges and analyzes them, ways and countermeasures to improve the ideological and moral quality of vocational college students. This part studies the vocational college students present moral problems, and proposes solutions.
