The study found that cool acrid exterior-resolving method is Liu’s inheritance and development on the principles of formulating prescription of Da Qing Long Tang which comes from Treatise on Febrile Diseases.Relieving exterior-interior syndrome is Liu’s inheritance and development on Xiao Chai Hu Tang syndrome.The fourth chapterinterprets Liu’s treatment thoughts on representative syndromes of " cold-induced febrile disease".It systematically summarizes the specific content of exterior-interior syndrome differentiation system.It details Liu’s creation, Yang Yin Tui Yang method,and its significant value in the clinical treatment of fever and acute critical illness.It details Liu’s viewpoint of fever infection and notes its significant impact on the Wenbing school.ConclusionsLiu Wansu developed Treatise on Febrile Diseases’s academic thought, which on more significance is a change. Liu did not pay attention to treating the six-channel diseases respectively like Zhang Zhongjing, butadvocated "the theory of fire and hot",distinguished fine the fever in exterior and interior, and even treating respectively.He built a new set of exterior and interior syndrome differentiation system to treat fever. In the theory and the exterior and interior syndrome differentiation system which was advocated by Liu Wansu,the prescriptions in Treatise on Febrile Diseaseswas newly explained, and excavatedmore usage.
