Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Lumbar Spinal Canal Stenosis By External Application Of TDP Therapy

Purpose: To observe and assess clinical effects of combining Zhitong powder hot medicinal compress with TDP apparatus irradiation therapy on cold-dampness blockage type of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis.Material and method: Collect 96 cases of non-surgical LSS(cold-dampness blockage type) patients from Orthopedics department 1 of Liaoning university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital between June 2015–November 2015 with single blinded randomized control trail and divided into observation group and control group. Give combining Zhitong powder hot medicinal compress with TDP apparatus irradiation therapy to observation group and give combining placebo hot medicinal compress with TDP apparatus irradiation therapy to control group. One course is 2 weeks. Follow-up the both group with VAS score and ODI index statistical analysis and evaluation in prior treatment(week 0)and post treatment(week2,6).Results: In 96 cases of patients, 9 cases were lose to follow-up and rejected. There’re 87 cases completed the trial. The 43 cases of observation group prior treatment VAS score was(6.05±1.13), 2 week after treatment was(3.67±1.06) and final follow-up was(2.65±1.45), and the prior treatment ODI index was(58.65±5.60), 2 week after treatment was(43.40±7.34) and final follow-up was(36.40±10.16), the total effective rate was 88.37%. The 44 cases of control group prior treatment VAS score was(6.05±1.12), 2 week after treatment was(4.30±1.15) and final follow-up was(3.68±1.65), and the prior treatment ODI index was(58.41±6.20), 2 week after treatment was(50.45±7.69) and final follow-up was(48.02±12.22), the total effective rate was 65.91%. The 10 cases of observation group were cured in the final follow-up, 29 cases were better, 4 cases were inefficient, and the total effective rate was 90.70%. The 3 cases of control group were cured in the final follow-up, 25 cases were better, 16 cases were inefficient,and the total effective rate was 63.64%. The difference between two prior treatment groups equal P>0.05, with comparability. The difference between two post treatment groups equal P<0.05, with statistically significant difference.Conclusion: Form statistical analysis result can indicate that the effect of combining zhitong powder hot medicinal compress with TDP apparatus irradiation therapy on LSS treatment is reliable, and has satisfactory effects in short-term.
