A Study On The Category Of Russian Command Under The Perspective Of Functional Semantic Field

As one of the sub-categories of imperative category, command category is one of thesubjects in the functional grammar research. Under the guidance of the theory of thefunctional semantic field, the functional semantic field and category scenarios areestablished to expound the formation process of speaker’s utterance, where the concept ofsemantic category is defined by the theories of category and categorization.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction, body, and conclusion.In the introduction part, the thesis elaborates on what background the research of theorder category in the viewpoint of the functional semantic field is chosen on, determineson the research subject, its significance, and methodology.The body part is divided into five chapters.The research situation of the order category at home and abroad is reviewed in thefirst chapter, where we find there is still plenty of research space to be explored in the fieldof Russian order semantic category.The basic theoretic part in the second chapter mainly elaborates on the essentialcharacteristics of cognitive linguistic theories and functional grammatical theories, whichpaves a way for the questions in the forthcoming chapter in a theoretic way. The leadingquestions in the thesis are based on the two theories.The concepts of order category and the order semantic category are defined by thetheories of category and categorization in the field of cognitive linguistics in the thirdchapter.Under the guidance of the theory of functional semantic field in the Russianfunctional grammatical theory, the functional semantic field of the Russian order semanticcategory is established, the content and expressive methods of the Russian order categoryare analyzed, and then the structures and types of the functional semantic field of theRussian order semantic category are described in the fourth chapter.Under the guidance of the theory of functional semantic field as well, the typicalcategory scenarios and untypical category scenarios of the Russian order semantic categoryare classified and analyzed.The conclusion part summarizes the core questions researched in the thesis. Theprocess of the human verbal production is explained by defining the Russian order semantic category, describing the Russian order semantic category, and classifying andanalyzing the category scenarios of the outer verbal statements.
