The Teaching Of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

The noun of locality is a special category in Chinese; it occupies a specialposition in Chinese language. The previous studies on this kind of word have agradually mature. There are a lot of research focus on its function, classification andcharacteristics. But most of these studies focused on the surface of its meaning; suchas the semantics, pragmatics, syntax and use. But only use the theoretical knowledgeto achieve the teaching purpose is not enough especially in the teaching Chinese as aforeign language.The noun of locality is an important aspect for foreign students in learningChinese; also is the important content of Chinese vocabulary teaching and grammarteaching. It has proved in teaching Chinese as a second language occupies animportant position. Although our research on it has obtained certain achievement, thestudents are still produce errors in learning the noun of locality. In this article, we usethe word “li”,“nei”,“zhong” as an example; compare the “li” with each other andanalyze this three kinds of words and find the reasons why students produce errors.Finally we set up a effective teaching methods in order to better achieve the teachingpurpose.
