A Study On The Relationship Between The Ancient Characters And The Vowels In Ancient Chinese

The Ancient Zhuang Characters is a national language that Zhuang people borrowed from Chinese characters or a part of Chinese characters, most of them use chinese pronunciation to represent Zhuang pronunciation especially phonetic-word and by-word, which are inextricably linked to Middle Chinese voice, they provide material for the study of Chinese speech history and an important reference for reconstructing Middle Chinese pronunciation. Meanwhile, The pronunciatin of Ancient Zhuang Characters reveal some of the phonological features of the Middle Ages, its role as much outside of the sound material.In this paper,using traditional characters of The Vocabulary Of The Ancient Zhuang Characters as text material database.It creates table based on the Phonetic Loan Zhuang Characters and the middle sixteen rhyme.This paper using the history comparing method.This article focuses on the speech correspondence between Zhuang finals for the phonetic loan Zhuang characters and Middle Chinese,and explore its reflected the characteristics of Chinese phonology and the expression of rhyme between the Middle Chinese and ancient Zhuang characters speech.In addition,this paper discussed relationship between the opposition of long or short vowels in ancient Zhuang characters finals and Chinese rhyme figure Nei Wai Zhuan(内外转).This paper concluded the basic as follows:(1)Some finals pronunciation in the Phonetic Loan Zhuang Characters is very likely to the ancient Chinese sounds residues.(2)We can understand something about the deciliter state of every rhyme in middle chinese based on the pronunciation of Zhuang finals and status belongs to middle Chinese rhyme.(3)We can roughly infer the time node which the Zhuang borrow a number of Chinese pronuncition.(4)Yang and Ru rhyme match neat in Guangyun(广韵),The Phonetic Loan Zhuang Characters also reflect the features of Yang and Ru rhyme matching,retained the characters of medieval rhyme tail(-p,-t,-k mark).(5)There are distinct contact between opposition of the ancient Zhuang characters long or short vowels and Nei Wai Zhuan in Chinese rhyme table.
