The main structure of the article consists of five parts: In the first part, on the basis of existing research, Chen Shaomei’s personal activity time is the main line, from a macro perspective summing up his life, and from the microscopic point sketching out the relationbetween background of his live and its painting. In the second part, fromseveral aspects such as the local culture, ancient efficient innovation, imitation Master Road, nature outside of his right, the formation mechanism of his art of painting is explored. In the third part, Chen Shaomei’sseveral works of art are selected and appreciated and we can find that he devoted his life to reviving the "Northern School" paintings, whichwas likely being consigned to limbo.He hung open in succession, while strongly abandon its drawbacks, and embellished with gorgeous and clear tone, and "the northern" paintings are with a new face to the world in the end.According to his works ‘ characteristics, the painting stylehas been separated into gestation period and the development period.
