Maurice Ravel is at the end of nineteenth Century and early twentiethCentury the famous French composer, pianist, conductor, one of theoutstanding representative of Impressionism music. His music works,including opera, ballet,art songs, orchestral music, chamber music,pianoand other fields. His music works are numerous, rich in subject matter,which contain a variety of musical styles, but also originality has itsown characteristics of music.In this paper, Ravel "F major String Quartet," is the breakthroughpoint, mainly from three aspects of this musical form, tonality thinkingand harmony techniques, detailed analysis and summarize its harmonicvocabulary, strive to explore the characteristics of Ravel’s harmoniclanguage and the close relationship between the formation of Ravel’sharmony language style and style of music and harmony techniques, musicalform structure.The full text includes three parts:introduction, text and conclusion.The introduction elaborated the research significance and research statusof this topic research purpose. The text is divided into five chapters,the first and second chapter of Ravel’s life and career, the formationand characteristics of impressionism music of Impressionism Musicrepresentative, Ravel, and a string quartet, four the development of Ravel"F major String Quartet" creation background four. The third chapterdescribes the structure characteristics of Sonata--Symphonies and the "Fmajor String Quartet" major string quartet of each movement. The fourthchapter is the analysis of the main focus on the works of tonality thinking,presentation, the mode melody, harmony and tonal tonal build expansionmeans and mode permeate, adjustable composite technique described.
