The Course Of Oil Painting In China In The 20th Century And Its Reflection

Through the analysis of the introduction of the oil painting course in twentieth Century, this paper has caused a reflection on the process of learning western oil painting. In the 20th century, Chinese painting mainly was learnt from four areas, including North America, Japan, the Soviet Union and Western Europe. Due to the special circumstances of the 20th century China, students will learn different identities painting and focus on a different position, especially in terms of painting technique, painting on domestic produce different effects.Discussion on the acquisition of knowledge found in North America, Japan and the Soviet Union’s oil painting techniques are derived from Western Europe. Painting skills were learned through absorption fuse to form a national style of painting language in three different regions. China takes the lead in learning from North America, North American painting in twentieth Century combined the characteristics of realism and Impressionism, the realistic foundation is more professional than the other two regions, but the study returned to North America in the late artist and some other reasons, which makes weak contribution on Chinese painting techniques. The time of studying in Japan is similar to that of Western European, but because of the reasons of geography and politics, it is more to choose Japanese artists.. After the 1919 logistics program, the Chinese students began to travel to Western Europe. Japanese art of impressionism as the painting of academist, resulting in Chinese students learned Japanese style painting skills, such as the point stroke of the Chinese character of Li Shutong.In the middle of 1950, The oil painting teaching mode of Academy of Fine Arts is introduced, and the students to the Soviet Union at Academy of Fine Arts have been trained to learn from the Chinese artists, who have mastered the painting skills and techniques. Introducing Soviet mode makes the Chinese oil painting gradually on the right track, start system, learning system, but due to political factors too much involvement, make oil painting from the painting techniques and the content is the political expression of a single, and the popular Soviet oil painting, Chinese painting study limitations on the other technique study. The introduction of Western oil painting can be divided into two parts, one is the 20 time, Xu Beihong,Lin Fengmian, who went abroad to study the realistic oil painting period. The other part is after the reform and opening up, western realism, modernism and other genres into China. During 20 years of studying western European artists went to France mostly, when France was a period of great development of various art, Chinese art students are learning school of classical realistic oil painting techniques and in the 1930s gradually returned to china.
