| In the 21 st century when higher education develops into a new phase, as a result of the innovation of music education, recent years have witnessed the fundamental changes of regular colleges in such aspects of art subjects as major offering, teacher qualification, enrolment mode, teaching material reforming, and curriculum setting. Meanwhile in recent years, as the fastest developing major of art subject in regular colleges, vocal performance major develops rapidly but encounters many a new problem as well. As a major different from music education major or vocal performance major in professional conservatories, vocal performance major in regular colleges has its own advantages as well as weak spots. Therefore, in the education of vocal performance major, a clear planning concept, a well-designed reformation of curriculum setting, and a diverse teaching mode are the necessity of the healthy and sustainable development.This paper explores, analyzes and compares the status quo of vocal performance education in regular colleges including the background of major construction, the status quo of teacher qualification, the condition of enrolment, curriculum setting and cultivation scheme, the condition of teaching material, major practice, and employment goal. In the third chapter, based on the analysis and comparison of the education of vocal performance major in Yibin University, a conclusion is drawn that common characteristics exist in the vocal performance major of regular colleges, but there are differences from professional conservatories as well. Based on this conclusion, a suggestion is made concerning the curriculum setting and the necessary teacher qualification for vocal performance major, so as to help teachers of this major to comprehend the major characteristics and the teaching mode in the special background of regualr colleges, to remedy the deficiency in teaching, and to summarize and solve the problems in teaching.Based on the investigation into the teaching in vocal performance major of Yibin University, this paper summarizes the status quo of vocal performance teaching in regular colleges, analyzes the development trend and explores the curriculum reforming plans of this major in these colleges, in order to urge to cultivate innovative thinking and to gradually establish a scientific teaching system for vocal performance teaching. |
