| This paper focuses on studying topics in practice section in elementary oral Mandarin class. In the manner of observation, the author try to analyze the topics in Curriculum and Advanced Level and Mandarin oral class. By studying the topic designing in order to improve the Chinese communication skills of second language learners, thereby enhancing their Chinese speaking ability. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction, describes the research origin, research objects, research meaning, content and methods, results of previous studies. Under the guidance of second language acquisition theory, the paper studies the topics which students are probably interested in, explaining that topics used in elementary Mandarin oral class to constructed the teaching contents.The second chapter is based on previous studies. This paper studies and analyzes International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education. And this chapter analyzes using conditions of topics from three aspects, such as teaching sections and material contents and teacher-student interactive needs. By studying these three aspects, the author try to discover principals of using topics in Mandarin oral class and explore a effective way to carry out second language learning using topics.The third chapter in under the guidance of Categorical and Quantitative Analysis. The author analyzes recordings of the elementary oral Mandarin class in order to study the reality of domestic oral Mandarin class. This paper discusses the three factors affecting the topics used in oral Mandarin class:Firstly, the most improtant standard to set a topic is the International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education; secondly, teaching marterals is decisive principal of choosing topics for oral Mandarin calss; thirdly, students’interest is an important reference factor to set up topics in class. This article is to study the interaction between the three relationships, exploring more efficient and more popular ways to improve the students’oral ability and hope to make contribution to Mandarin teaching.The fourth chapter is based on statistical data of the former three chapters, summarizing the principles and basis of topic settings in a elementary Mandarin oral class. This chapter concludes four main principles of selecting topics:1. interesting; 2. practical; 3.targeted; 4. scientific. Meanwhile, according to the the observed case, this research provide some suggestions for topic selecting:1. topic selection should be based on the curriculum; 2. topics need to be closely related to teaching materials; 3. topics need to consider the interests of learners enoygh.The fifth chapter is a conclusion for the whole study. In this chapter, the author draws the final conclusion, revealing principals for topic selection and noting deficiencies in this study. The whole reseach aim at proposing ideas for further research. |
