Research On The Speech Of Xiaohe Town Dialect

Xiaohezhen is a town under the Xiaochang County of Xiaogan City, which is located in the eastern part of Hubei Province, particularly in the Dabie Mountains and the transition zone Jianghan Plain, north of the Yangtze River, east of the Han River, due to the convenient location of waterway transportation in the history was the second largest city of Xiaogan City, known as " little Hankow " reputation. Through local fieldwork studies, detailed description of the Xiaohezhen voice features, and a comparative study of Tone and the surrounding wide water Xiaogan dialect, but also from the perspective of the tone and the Southwest Mandarin and Jianghuai Mandarin were compared. Specific arrangements are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, describes the geography, history and immigration, as well as research status and significance of the Xiaohezhen.The second chapter is phonological description of the town, mainly descripting the consonant,vowel and tones.The third chapter is the comparative study between the phonological system of Middle Chinese and the Xiaohezhen dialect. Also from the three aspects of the consonant,vowel and tones.The fourth chapter is the comparation of consonant,vowel between Xiaohezhen and the surrounding City: Yingshui(Yingshan), Dawu(Lishan), Anlu, Xiaochang, Doushan and Xiaonan.The fifth chapter is the comparative studies of tone between Xiaohezhen dialect and surrounding dialect, as well as a brief summary and inadequate.
