Digitization is the development trend of TV industry. Nowadays the construction of Digital TV broadcast system is a focus. As the establishment of digital receive standard of satellite and cable, the digital terrestrial receive standard is also going to be established. For solving the problem of multi-path fading and channel estimation in terrestrial receive, a dual-tuner control system based on diversity reception which uses the European DVB-T standard is introduced with considering the practice of digital TV receiver in car.The hardware uses high-integrated diversity chips. And the software is module designed which has different modules with specific functions and clear interfaces. So the system is good for transplanting and father developing.This paper looks back the developing of digital TV, and also introduces the actuality and system components of it. After analyzing the transfer and receive standard of digital TV, the hardware scheme and the chips are decided with learning the diversity reception and OFDM theory,The dual-tuner control system scheme is provided with discussing the platform of digital TV receiver in car. We have researched in the design of hardware and software. The hardware design contains function diagrams and control method, while the software design contains application interface, implementation of function module and software flow.The digital TV receiver in car with the dual-tuner control system is produced and sold to Singapore. Both the hardware and software work very well.
