Rotating circular and annular plates are widely-used components in mechanicalengineering, civil engineering, aerospace and many other fields. They are often workingunder mechanical field, electromagnetic field and temperature field. With continuousupgrading of equipments and instruments, vibration of circular/annular plates undercomplex working conditions has attracted more and more attention.Aiming at magneticfield and mechanical field, this paper analyses free vibration and forced vibration ofrotating conductive circular/annular plates, discusses the influences of different parameterson vibration characteristics.Based on the basic theory under electromagnetic field, the expression ofelectromagnetic force and electromagnetic torque of the rotating circular/annular plate isgiven. On the basis of the small-deflected plate bending theory, expressions of kineticenergy, deformation potential energy of the circular plate and virtual work ofelectromagnetic force is given. Hamilton’s principle is used to derive the magneto-elasticcoupling vibration equations of the rotating circular/annular plate.According to different boundary conditions, respectively set the displacementfunction of circular/annular plate and the deflection function. Using galerkin method to dointegral with the vibration equation. Free vibration differential equation of circular plate,forced vibration differential equation of circular plate and free vibration differentialequation of annular plate are obtained.Using Matlab software to do programming calculations. Vibration characteristics ofrotating circular/annular plate in transverse magnetic field are analyzed. With selecteddifferent parameters, free vibration frequency graph of circular plate, amplitude andfrequency response graph, phase diagram of forced vibration, free vibration frequencygraph of annular plate are obtained. Parameters such as thickness, radius, angular rotatingspeed, magnetic induction intensity are changing to analysis the differences ofcharacteristics of vibration. Curves of two kinds of boundary conditions are compared.
