Artificial electromagnetic materials due to its special electromagnetic properties, has been a hot topic in recent years. American Science magazine even named one ofthe world’s top ten this material breakthrough in2003.With the improvement oftechnology and production technology, electromagnetic materials which are used in awide variety of electromagnetic devices, and promote the development ofelectromagnetic devices. This paper is the use of the existing finite element simulation software Comsol, successful design and simulation of a variety of electromagnetic devices, discussedthe impact of the electromagnetic properties of magnetic materials, its performanceparameters, and further confirms the effectiveness of the design of electromagneticdevices and correctness. The main contents are the following five parts: First, artificial electromagnetic materials is based on the coordinate transformation theory, and therefore the overall coordinate transformation theory to generalize. Thenintroduced Comsol simulation software advantage and its application inelectromagnetic devices. Then, depending on the coordinate transformation theory, design and simulation of various types of electromagnetic devices include: In general, the rectangular coordinate system a beam splitter, in the folded outer capeelectromagnetic conversion stealth, and replaced in the common strain of shapedlenses. Discusses the value of these devices. Finally, according to the plasmonresonance effect evanescent wave and metal surfaces, etc, to design a gold filmtapered fiber sensing, to study its sensing capability for the design of high-sensitivitysensor provides a theoretical basis.
