Northern Shaanxi rapid economic development, along with the growing number of humanengineering activities, all kinds of geological disasters occur frequently to local governments and peoplecaused huge economic losses. In July2013, There are three once-in-a-century heavy rainfall process inYanan city. To reduce loess landslides disasters, summary analysis of formation mechanism and slidingmode of loess landslide, as well as loess landslide types, not only has a very important academicsignificance, and geological disaster prevention and cure in the region is of great practical significance.In this paper, Yu Huangmiao to Guan Tun three-tier oil K9+180subgrade landslide for the study,Through literature review and field research, collection and analysis of geological background informationinvolved in the landslide area; Implementation of geological surveys, mapping, prospecting, samplecollection and laboratory tests for Panlong loess landslide, On this basis a study of Panlong loess landslide.Discussion on saturated and plastic flow loess landslide’s the formation mechanism and evolution process.Main research contents are as follows:(1) Collect relevant information, learn from previous research results,brief summary of type of landslide, morphology, structural characteristics substances, the type of soil inslide zone and other basic features in loess area, provided for the study of saturated and plastic flow loesslandslide.(2) according to engineering geology survey results, analysis of basic characteristics of landslides,get physical and mechanical indexes of the corresponding slide zone of landslide.(3) combiningengineering, analysis of lands lide induced by internal factors and external factors, with emphasis onanalys is of precipitation-induced, easing slowly moving mechanism, in-depth view of mechanism oflandslide formation and evolution.(4) Using Midas/GTS finite element numerical simulation analys issoftware for Panlong landslide, to understand the mechanism of stress and strain. Simulate the evolution ofthe landslide by Discrete element software2D-Block.Based on a comprehensive analysis of Panlong landslide has three main characteristics,1.the body issaturated,2. Landslide types belong to the plastic flow of traction,3. Slide has the characteristic of lowspeed creeping. Due to landslide characteristics obvious representative, therefore its study on the formationmechanism and its control scheme is of very important significance in theory and reality.
