Nalysis Of Parallel Pepairable System With Two Types Of Failure Units And A Replaceable Repair Facility

Abstract:Parallel repairable system with two types of failure units is a typical system in reliability theory. This paper considers two parallel repairable systems with replaceable repair facility. If each unit with two types of failure appears one of failures, one system will be repaired immediately and the other system will not be repaired at once. A series of reliability results are obtained by using Markov renewal process theory and Laplace transform tool. At the same time, these results will be verified by discussing parameters of the special cases and the numerical examples analysis. The two systems will be studied in the following chapters.In Chapter2, a two-same-unit paralleled repairable system with a replaceable repair fa-cility and two types of failure units is studied. Each unit has two types of failure and will be repaired at once if it appears one of failures. Under assuming that the repair time has general distribution and its replacement time obeys general distribution, some reliability results, such as the distribution of the time to the first system failure, the system’s availability, the average failure number during (0,t] and facility’s idle period length and generalized busy period length are obtained.In Chapter3, this paper considers a two-same-unit paralleled repairable system with a replaceable repair facility and delayed repair, in which each unit has two types of failure. As-suming that the delayed repair time, the repair time and the replacement time of the repair facility have general distribution, some reliability results, such as the distribution of the time to the first system failure, the system’s availability, the average failure number during (0, t] and the probability of system waiting for repair are discussed.
