With the gradually increasing energy demand caused by continuous development ofeconomy and run out of conventional oil and gas resources, the oil exploration experts spendtheir efforts in new areas of oil and gas exploration. The importance of unconventional oil andgas resources is highlighted. The research aims at the qualitative and quantitative resourcepotential evaluation of oil shale in Shahejie formation in Dongpu depression, with the purposeof playing a certain role in unconventional oil and gas exploration work.Hereby taking the relevant geochemistry and petroleum geology theory as the guidingideology, we make qualitative evaluation on the shale oil of Shahejie formation in Dongpudepression with relative wireline logging, mud logging and geochemistry information. Wecalculate the oil and gas potential of the shale volume by volumetric method, determine thethe basic calculating principle, and calculate and determine the related parameters usingΔlogR logging identification technology to identify the TOC, S1and chloroform bitumen "A",We make organic heterogeneity logging evaluation and organic matter classificationevaluation on the shale oil of Shahejie formation in Dongpu depression, and through the TOC-"A" and the TOC-S1related-to relationship to classify the organic matter abundance, thento get the grading evaluation criterion.Based on the abundance of shale organic matter, maturity and thickness data of Shahejieformation in Dongpu depression. Established grading standards of favorable shale strata(alarge segment of shale and a thin strip of sand) of Shahejie formation in Dongpu depression.Delineated shale oil resource potential evaluation space areas in Dongpu depression. Selectedthe volume method to calculate of shale oil and gas potential. Determine the basic principlesof evaluation, then calculated to determine the relevant parametersThe research of resources potential evaluation of Shahejie shale oil in Dong-puDepression, which focuses on Shahejie3z subsegmental and Shahejie3x subsegmentalresources potential evaluation. Total shale oil resources of Shehejie in Dongpu depression canreach to18.06×108t; thin interbedded sandstone resources can reach to1.04×108t.
