Salinity is the key parameter of ocean dynamics and air-ocean interaction. It is veryimportant to the thermal, dynamic process of the tropical ocean and air-ocean coupledsystem. It is very promising approach to use spaceborne microwave radiometer for remotesensing of ocean salinity.Research is based on spaceborne ocean salinity active and passive remote sensing. Asynthetic aperture radiometer digital system, which consists of data acquisition, datatransmission, correlation processing, clock and controller four parts is designed andimplemented. The background of salinity remote sensing and the theoretical basis of salinitymeasurements and synthetic aperture radiometer is introduced in the thesis. Then theparameters of digital system, plans all four module’s function is analyzed. Then the designof each module is decribed, including chip selection, circuit design principles, transmissionprotocol design, correlation algorithms design and so on.Then provides more detail ontwo-stage correlation algorithms, clock circuit design, multi-channel data acquisition circuitdesign, provides reliable design to the project implementation.Detailed description and analysis about route and power layout of multi-channel dataacquisition, the hardware design principles of transmission board, design of two-stagecorrelation algorithms, design of sampling clock generation circuit is given in the projectimplementation. And then gives the final solution. Finally tests the all implemented digital system modules’ function, the test results meetthe system requirements. Research results of this paper has been applied in a scienceproject.
