Modal synthesis method is one of the analysis methods which has higher precision of calculation. So, since modern times, it has become more perfect and been used more widely as an accepted method of analysis in the object vibration problem. The demand of the rapid development of modern engineering technology to modal synthesis analysis calculation precision becomes higher and higher. This paper uses the application of the analysis that modal comprehensive analysis in the uniform rectangular beam problems to explore the factors that influence the calculation accuracy of the modal synthesis analysis.This paper uses the application of the analysis that modal comprehensive analysis in the uniform rectangular beam problems to explore the calculation accuracy of the modal synthesis analysis.The analysis mainly from the following several aspects:First of all, the modal synthesis method is given comprehensive introduction. This paper has summarized the application of the modal synthesis analysis in geared rotor dynamics system, ship structure vibration, aerospace and other fields and the modern development of the modal synthesis method.Second, it comes to a conclusion that modal set has a great influence on the calculation precision of the modal synthesis method through the analysis and research. This paper studies the influence of modal set on the accuracy of the modal synthesis from two aspects. On the one hand, it is the influence of the selection of the modal type on the accuracy of modal synthesis method. On the other hand, it is the number of modal set that has influence on the modal synthesis method. In this paper, uniform rectangular beam as an example to illustrate the quantitative analysis.It has obtained certain quantitative analysis and the conclusion results. It has very important reference value to improve the calculation precision of modal synthesis method.Third, this paper uses the comparative analysis to quantitative analyze and the MATLAB software to numerical simulation. Regarding the calculation result of the finite element analysis method and comparing to those calculation results which come from different modal sets that based on the modal synthesis method to find the error sources.The paper comes to a conclusion that the selection of modal set is one of the factors that influence calculation precision of the modal synthesis method through the compare of the calculation results that based on modal synthesis method and the finite element analysis.At the same time, it also obtains two features of modal synthesis method which are that it has higher precision in the practical application of engineering and it can also save computation time.Finally it propose its own view about future development of the modal synthesis method.
