Kangguer gold deposit is located in the southern margin of the west section of Qiugemingtashi—Huangshan ductile shearing belt of eastern Tianshan, Xinjiang. Ore-bearing rocks include quartz andesite and andesite which belong to the Yamansu Formation of Lower Carboniferous. Through systematic sampling of drilling cores and underground tunnels, elements assemblages of different mineralization stages, relativity between different elements, elements vertical zoning sequence, characteristics of structural superimposed halos are studied. The mode of structural superimposed halos is built, and deep ore prospecting is also carried out. In addition, geochemistry, ore-controlling factors, characteristics of ore-forming fluids and its source, source of mineralization materials etc. are analysed from the characteristics of major elements, trace elements, rare earth elements and H, O, Pb, S isotope. Besides, coupling connections among diagenesis epoch, metallogenic epoch and regional tectonic evolution are also studied. Metallogenesis and mineral deposit mode are summarized. Some main achievements and results are as follows:(1) As can be used as the key indicative element for ore prospecting as correlation coefficient between As and Au reaches 0.61. In addition, the correlation coefficient between Au and Pb, Zn is relatively high. While Cu has weak correlation with other elements and is located in the lower part of the Au orebody, implying another mineralization event.(2) Axial zoning sequence of single mineralization period is: As, Sb, Hg(front halo elements)'Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Zn(near-ore halo elements)'Bi, Mo, Mn, Co, V, W(tail halo elements). As “reverse zoning” sequence, elements vertical zoning sequence is Hg-Pb-Zn-Bi-Co-Mo-Mn-Au-Sb-As-Ag-Cd-W-V-Cu, showing superimposed mineralization.(3) Trace elements, rare earth elements and Pb, S isotope characteristics of rocks and ores indicate that mineralization materials mainly come from the subvolcanic rocks, part of which come from the strata. The intrusion of subvolcanic rocks is the main ore-controlling factor, and Pb, S mainly originate from the mantle.(4) Coupling connections among diagenesis epoch, metallogenic epoch and regional tectonic evolution indicate two mineralization periods, main ore-controlling factors are respectively the intrusion of subvolcanic rocks in Early Permian and the dextral strike-slip shearing of Qiugemingtashi—Huangshan ductile shearing zone in Late Permian. Mineralization fluid evolution show the tendency of mainly volcanic subvolcanic hydrotherm'mixed hydrotherm' mainly meteoric hydrotherm referring to the features of H, O isotope. All factors considered, Kangguer gold deposit is medium-low temperature hydrothermal deposit of orogenic belt controlled by ductile shearing occurred in volcanic and subvolcanic rocks.
