On the basis of comprehensive analyzing geologic features, well logging, petrological characteristics and diagenesis of reservoir, utilizing a series of modern reservoir description technologies and methods, guided by methods and theories of sedimentary petrology, logging geology, reservoir geology, this thesis has a research on flow unit of Chang63 reservoir in Huaqing region. The main achievement of this study is:Based on the study of stratigraphic division and correlation, combining with the results of previous studies and analysis of cores and electrofacies, the research on sedimentary facies of Chang63 reservoir in Huaqing region is done. It is recognized that the Chang63 reservoir belongs to delta front sublacustrine slump turbidite fan deposition, which can be further divided into five subfacies and several microfacies, including underwater distributary channel, mouth bar, interdistributary bay, turbidite channel, etc. According to the analysis of reservoir characteristics, it is considered that main sand bodies in this region are feldspathic sandstone with good sorting, the compositional maturity is low, The reservoir space of oil bearing sandstone is mainly secondary porosity, diagenesis make the pores linking to a certain extent.Then the thesis selected porosity, permeability, flow zone index to carry on cluster analysis and stepwise discriminant analysis. Divided flow units and established identification index system of flow units. The research area was divided into four types of flow unit. The space distribution character of flow unit in this area has been put into research,and in contrast to physical property and sedimentary microfacies of these reservoirs. The better of the tpye of flow unit, the higher are the porosity, the permeability and oil saturation. Sedimeniary face has a controlling effect on the distribution trend of flow unit. But the same micro-face can be divided into different flow unit due to the vadose differences in it. So their distribution not only has same trends but also has differences. Through studies on the four types of flow unit in this area, we concluded that the distribution area of the third type flow unit is the further developing and potential field of this area..
