After years of development, Jilin Xinli oilfield has entered the stage of "double high" production period. In order to achieve stable production and enhance waterflooded recovery, we need research further on distribution rule of remaining oil and make the potential of remaining resourses clear. As a result, it is necessary to research on new interpretation method of water flooded layers.After mass research at home and abroad, we standardize gamma ray curve, SP curve, acoustic curve and resistivity curve by using poor regularization method, trend surface analysis method and histogram analysis method. Then, on the basis of pressure coring data and analysis of the water-flooded mechanism, we have established identification standards of sandwich layers. We also research on confirming mixed water resistivity of water flooded layers, analyse logging response characteristics of water flooded layers, summarize oil layer resistivity’s changing rule in the early, middle and later period. We present petrophysical facies classification method, summarize the distribution of various types of petrophysical facies and water-out characteristics. On the basis of logging response characteristics of water flooded layers, oil layer resistivity’s changing rule in the early, middle and later period and watered-out characteristics of various types of petrophysical facies, we establish water flooded level’s qualitative identification method by using cross-plot method and curve overlapping method. On the basis of core calibration logging technology, using mathematical statistics method and vector calculation method, we have established fine logging interpretation model, water production rate model and oil displacement efficiency model. We have confirmed qualitative-quantitative interpretation standards of water flooded layer, and formed complete, intelligent and multivariable interpretation method which supports multiple well water flooded layer interpretation. The logging interpretation method of water-flooded layers for Block III of Xinli Oilfield can be applied in production. We can use the method on comprehensive interpretation of multi-well, multi-data, which has improved logging interpretation accuracy. It provides foundation for confirming perforated interval by knowing producing and flooding degree. We suggest fracturing and reconstructing potential remaining oil layers, which have increased production and obtained good application results. The outcome is very important to improve logging interpretation accuracy of this block’s water flooded layer, and very valuable for other old oilfields of middle-later development stage.
