Research On A Harmonious Exploitation Mode Of Xiaodeng Island On The Basis Of Beautiful Xiamen Strategic Planning

The many and various types of islands contain extremely rich resources such asbiological resources, mineral resources, marine energy resources, port resources,tourism resources and eco-environment resources, with inestimable value. However,disorderly development and over exploitation exist in the processes of islandsdevelopment in our country. Due to the small area, simple regional structure andfragile ecosystem, the blind development and not paying attention to protection ofislands will easily result in a large amount of ecological and environmental problems.Moreover, there are also differences between islands in terms of geographical position,natural resources, environment, productivity condition, development base, etc. Islandsdevelopment should not adopt a unified mode. Therefore, islands exploitation andconstruction must be combined with the specific circumstances of different islands,exploring a scientific, reasonable and effective development mode, and strengtheningthe development and management of island resources, in order to achieve maximumeconomic, social and ecological benefits.With the Beautiful Xiamen Strategic Planning, Xiamen will make the GrandGulf, Great Mountain and Sea, Large Garden as three development strategies,realizing the integration construction inside and outside the island. As matters stand,compared with Xiamen Island and Gulangyu Islet, Xiaodeng Island is far behind interms of infrastructure level, port construction, tourism development, economic andsocial development level, etc., but it has an advantageous geographical location closeto Kinmen Island and rich with unique tourism resources. Beautiful Xiamen StrategicPlanning provides a good development opportunity to Xiaodeng Island, while theexploitation of Xiaodeng Island may also improve the coordinated development ofsurrounding industries, enhance the comprehensive level of regional industries, andpromote the realization of Beautiful Xiamen Strategic Planning.This paper focuses on Xiaodeng Island. Based on systematics theory, and using acombination of theories and research methods from many disciplines, such asenvironmental science, marine ecology, tourism, regional economics, human geography, and puts forward an exploitation mode of Xiaodeng Island on the basis ofBeautiful Xiamen Strategic Planning. The main research contents include: Firstly, therelated basic theory and basic principle of island exploitation. Then, it gives ananalysis on eco-environment and management problems which exist in the process ofisland development. Thirdly, the paper finds out the successful experience andenlightenment of island development which can be used for reference through thestudy on exploitation mode of typical islands at home and abroad. Finally, it collectsmany basic data in natural environment condition, social and economic condition,eco-environment condition, resources condition, and analyzes the exploitationsituation and main existing problems of Xiaodeng Island, and the application of theSWOT analysis outputs a marine ecological tourism exploitation mode and short termand long-term development strategies of Xiaodeng Island. This provides a scientificbasis for the construction of Beautiful Xiamen and Xiaodeng Island. The research ofthis paper has important application value.
