With the continuous deepening of the high resolution geophysical exploration, therequirements for precision and quality of seismic data acquisition are becoming higher andhigher. High resolution geophysical exploration technology is a system engineeirng, includingthree important links of data acquisition> data processing and data inteipretation.Thecharacteirstics of the acquisition is to achieve high-quality raw seismic data,and the seismicdata of more bigger dynamic range、more wider rfequency band, more lower distortion degreeand more higher SNR than the data acquired using by conventional acquisition methods.Seismic sensor is an electromechanical conversion device to convert the machinery vibrationinto electric signal, it’s a veiy important component of the ifeld seismic data acquisition.it’s aspecial sensor used in oil geophisical exploration and engineering surveying-it’s also a veryimportant component of seismic data acquisition.The conditions of the seismic sensor willdirectly affect the quanlity of acquisition data.VectorSeis thrce-componcnt digital sensor is launched by the ION (currently land part hasrenamed INOVA) corporation in1999, VectorSeis seires digital geophisical sensor is based onmicroelectronic Mechanical digital sensor System of MEMS (Micro company MechanicalSystem) technology design. It includes super low inherent noise and distortion, direct digitaloutput, high fidelity of the vector, the good response of low frequency, blocking axial crosssignal and the big dynamic range, it can accurately record vector seismic wave field, improvethe quality of multi-component data acquisition, improve the quality of multi-component dataimaging, it also lays a good foundation for estimating multi-component seismic attirbuteparameters,and so on, to a great extent, meets the requirements of high accuracy and highresolution, in the new phase of development of geophysical exploration technology, itgradually becomes an important role, and more and more been used in geophisical explorationand productions.In this article, through analyzing the structure of MEMS system,we understand the basicstructure and working principle of three-component digital sensor VectorSeis; Study thetechnical parameters and test abilities of three-component digital sensor VectorSeis,analysethe applicating conditions of each test item; Combined with the speciifc applicating conditions of digital sensor VectorScis in individual exploratory area, determine a specific acquisitionmethod and technical index that is suitable for using digital three-component sensor.
