The Way To The Humanization Of Science And Technology

Science and technology are accompanied and gradually perfect by thedevelopment of human beings, and they also further enhance the human’s practiceability.Especially, in recent years,the speed that technology turns into production hasbeen increasing rapdly, a large number of material wealth has been created, along withthe changes are human life and their thinking way. However, science and technologyrapdly develop have brought a series problems that threat human surivival andecological balance, such as the shortage of resources, environmental pollution,unemploymen, starvation, wars and so on. How to use science and technology hasbecome an important problem which we must pay attention to. Therefore, there arethree aspects of the philosophical review of science and technology to show in thepaper.The first chapter talks about the analysis of the basic concept and development ofscience and technology. Science and technology are the result of humanpractice activities, the former provides the theoretical basis for the latter, the latterreturns practical guidance to the former. Based on the historical development of therelation between man and nature, the history of science and technology can besummarized as three stages, including the ancient experiential science and existentialtechnology, the modern science on materiality and materializing technology, thecontemporary science on humanity and human-centered technology. Science andtechnology are also experiencing the transformation from immaturity to maturity.The second chapter points out the philosophy of science and technology bydiscussing the modern science on materiality and materializing technology. In thecontemporary era, although the tendency of science and technology is to “science onhumanity and human-centered technology”, the predominant in human life is still“science on materiality and materializing technology”. Therefore, it will be useful tointroduce some concepts, such as the “alienation”,“objectification”,“materialization”,“alienation of labor”,“the alienation of science and technology”. These conceptsmake a great contribute to revealing the secrets of the alienation of science andtechnology. The alienation of science and technology is the alienation of human which heavily influenced by the thoughts of scientism, anthropocentrism, rationalism,and extreme utilitarianism.The third chapter explores the direction of the ethics of science and technologytrend. It suggests that science and technology shoud be a carrer which is done byhuman to benefit themselves not only conforms to natural law but also meets theneeds of the people. The highest realm of science and technology is to achive theunity of “the true, the good and the beautiful”. Above all, science and technologyshould move toward reconciliation between man and nature, becom the link of theirfriendship; should move toward The harmony between man and society, as themaintenance of social stability power; should move toward the selfkindness betweenman and himself, as the food of people’s inner world.
