Wuhan rock structure and geological structure are relatively complex. It is necessary to standardize a large number of geological information acquired in urban construction needs and form an urban geological database for management so as to use various data in research of three-dimensional visualization modeling., thus better serving urban construction. The contents of this paper include:(1)Urban construction work acquires a lot of geological information through material collection, materialized away, drilling, testing and the like. The information, geological structure, hydrogeological parameters, engineering and other physical and mechanical parameters included, give a brief introduction to various ways to obtain geological information and present an analysis to Wuhan engineering geological data standardization and database management;(2)The demand of data management system are analyzed. Data management system to build the city of wuhan engineering geological data standardization and the contents of the database construction were studied through the selection of MAPGIS K9- geological database(3)3 d geological elements of the data model as the 3 d geological modeling’s data model is studied. In view of the method of city 3 d geological modeling problems, this paper puts forward the suitable for complex geologic body modeling method, the partition of interactive modeling method. The modeling methods of the complex geological phenomenon, including stratigraphic pinch out, faults, ground penetrating, are analysed. The solutions of the difficulties in modeling are presented.(4)The paper selects the Hanyang District, Wuhan City, the first phase of Metro Line 2 to carry out three-dimensional geological modeling, and through to the geological conditions in the study area, and display the three models. And by using of MAPGIS K9 data management system to classified manage the 2 d and 3 d geological data, then put forward the classified management rules of geological dates, establishing the Wuhan urban geological database, which are of great significance for management of the urban geological database, can guide the construction of urban engineering and data management.
