As a kind of precious non renewable resources, geological relics is the important basis for human understanding of geological phenomena, presumably the environment and evolution of the earth. So the development and protection of geological relics has become the focus of attention in recent years. Scientific and effective comprehensive evaluation of geological heritage resources is the basis for the development and protection of geological relics, and is also the scientific basis for the construction and management of the geological park. Therefore, how to establish a unified geological relic resources comprehensive evaluation model, it is of great significance to promote the development and protection of geological relics, the classification management of geological heritage resources and the healthy development of the geological park.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the establishment of scientific and effective geological relics comprehensive evaluation index system based on Analytic hierarchy process, and with examples to verify the formation of a unified model of geological heritage evaluation, so as to reduce the development and protection of geological relics chaos. This paper has established the comprehensive evaluation model of geological relics based AHP, the model structure is divided into four levels of 22 evaluation factor, considering geological relics its properties and the conditions of exploitation and utilization, the regional economic level, the government policy,the relationship with the adjacent tourist destination and so on are added to the innovation, which makes the comprehensive evaluation model of the geological relics more extensive. Analytic hierarchy process is a typical system engineering method from qualitative analysis to quantitative analysis. According to the general goals, sub goals, evaluation criteria of specific alternatives, it decomposes the decision problem into different levels, gets the priority weight of each element on the upper level of a certain element by solving the matrix feature vector, and obtains the final weight of each alternative by using the weighted sum method, then the quantitative evaluation of the event is obtained. In this process, the subjective judgment of the people was quantified, and the influence of human subjectivity was reduced. This method is widely used in all walks of life. It is a method to deal with the complex events which are difficult to be quantified.Taking Lingbi Qing Yunshan Geological Park as an example, a comprehensive evaluation of the main geological sites in the park is evaluated, and the results are consistent with the actual results in this paper. The evaluation results show that the comprehensive evaluation model of geological relics is feasible and reliable based on AHP, and it has a strong practical application, and worth popularizing.
